Privacy policy
This policy is still being finalised. The summary below describes what the site actually does today; it is not yet a complete legal document. For anything specific, email stay@rimbastay.com.
What we collect when you book
Your name, email address, phone number and country, the dates and property you booked, and any note you chose to leave us. We ask for these because we cannot hold a room or meet you at the door without them.
Payment details
We never see your card. Card details are entered directly into Stripe, our payment processor, and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We keep only Stripe’s reference for the payment so we can match it to your booking.
Who else sees your details
Your booking is passed to Beds24, the reservation system the properties run on, and a confirmation email is sent to you and to the property through Resend, our email provider. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone else.
Asking us to remove your data
Email us and we will delete what we are not legally required to keep. Records attached to a completed stay may need to be retained for tax and accounting purposes.
